Welcome to Wayside High School Cross Country

Our Wayside High School Varsity Cross Country team had a tremendous 2024 season! This season, we were able to compete against some of the best talent from around our region, and throughout the state of Texas. Each meet that our XC teams competed in featured 4A, 5A, and 6A UIL teams, as well as some powerhouse Private and Charter school teams.

Our Cross Country teams competed extremely well in each meet. Our Varsity Boys finished in the top 5 of the team results in 4 different meets, our Middle School Girls had a 2nd place finish as a team in the Valor Meet, and we had several top 10 individual finishers across all divisions throughout the season!

We had two Varsity Boys runners represent Wayside and compete in the HCAL State Cross Country Meet at Southwestern University in Georgetown. Freshmen, Felix Gonzales and Valentin Rosas, finished 23rd and 27th, respectfully, in the entire state of Texas! We are extremely proud of our state qualifiers, as well as our entire Cross Country teams!
